1 hurt as semi overturns on westbound I-40 in central Wilson County

WILSON COUNTY, TN – Authorities were dispatched to an injury rollover collision involving a semi-truck Saturday morning near Lebanon, according to WKRN.

The accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 40 near mile marker 239, just past Cainsville Road. It was first reported shortly after 9:00 a.m.

While the cause and nature of the wreck was not immediately apparent, officials indicated that the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No other vehicles appear to have been impacted.

Lebanon Police announced on X at 9:13 a.m. that all traffic in the area was being re-routed onto Sparta Pike during the emergency response.

By 12:00 p.m., nearly three hours later, crews had righted and removed the overturned semi from the roadway, and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
