Overturned big rig, fuel spill closes part of I-285 EB ramp in Cobb County

COBB COUNTY, GA — Authorities were called to a rollover semi-truck wreck Tuesday afternoon that blocked an Interstate 285 offramp near Forest Park, reports 11Alive.

The collision took place on the ramp connecting I-285 eastbound to I-75 northbound. It was first reported by the Georgia Department of Transportation just after 3:00 p.m.

It was not immediately apparent what caused the tractor-trailer to overturn, but at about 5:00 p.m., two hours later, GDOT indicated that all travel lanes were reopened.

At this time, no information regarding the involved parties or potential injuries has been released.
