MYAKKA CITY, FL – A 74-year-old woman driving a pickup truck rear-ended another pickup truck and then hit a semi-truck, injuring herself and the other pickup truck motorist Monday.
Florida Highway Patrol told the Patch that around 12:45 p.m., the driver of the truck pickup truck had stopped at the stop sign before pursuing a left turn onto westbound S.R. 470. For reasons unclear, the elderly lady from Ohio then hit the back of the pickup truck driven by a 24-year-old man from Arcadia. Once those vehicles collided, the lady’s vehicle was then pushed into a semi-truck.
The 74-year-old woman and 24-year-old man are recovering from minor wounds, while the semi-driver, a 45-year-old man, also from Arcadia, was unharmed.
