SHELBY COUNTY, AL – One person inside a cement truck was trapped and had to be extricated following a crash that involved a train Thursday.
This collision took place at 10 a.m. along Highway 47 and Highway 443, according to AL. First responders issued trauma alerts to the occupants before rushing them to UAB Hospital and Grandview Medical Center.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Chelsea Fire and Rescue, and Alabama Highway Patrol all responded to the scene. After arriving, they shut down a portion of County Road 433 for the scene clearance process. The closures could be seen at Shelby County 440 to Liberty Road.
