MARION COUNTY, FL — One person had to be extricated from their vehicle Tuesday morning following a crash with an Amazon semi-truck in Silver Springs, according to Ocala-News.com.
The accident happened at the intersection of Southeast 174th Court and East Highway 40. Marion County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene at about 11:05 a.m. after receiving multiple calls.
Preliminary details indicate a driver was left trapped in their damaged minivan after it collided with the semi.
The patient, who was listed as a trauma alert, was rushed to an area hospital after being extricated by first responders.
No injuries to the semi driver or anyone else were immediately reported.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
