Left-turn crash with fire truck in Louisa claims life of sedan driver 

LOUISA, VA – A 38-year-old man driving a sedan was taken to a hospital, where he later passed away after turning left in front of a fire truck and colliding with it Friday. 

This crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on westbound Louisa Road near Amick Road, according to 12onyourside

Police said that prior to this collision, the fire truck driver had their sirens on and was on their way to an emergency-related incident. After the vehicles collided, they did not say if the fire truck motorist was injured. 

The sedan driver has since been identified as Ricky Alan Meninger. 

Officials started an investigation and have not released other details at this time.
