NASHVILLE, TN — A man was killed early Tuesday when his sedan slammed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 West in Nashville, reports WSMV4.
Metro Nashville Police said the fatal collision took place at Hermitage Avenue shortly after 1:00 a.m.
Investigators learned that the victim was speeding in a white four-door sedan that was reported stolen. At one point, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle struck the semi and became stuck under its trailer.
First responders pronounced the driver of the sedan deceased at the scene. His identity has not been made public at this time.
