AUTAUGA COUNTY, AL — Authorities responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer Friday morning on Interstate 65 near Marbury, reports WSFA.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the accident happened on the southbound lanes near mile marker 197, about 1.5 miles north of County Road 20 West. It was first reported at about 9:42 a.m.
While the cause of the collision has not been specified, part of the southbound highway was shut down for nearly six hours, suggesting a more involved emergency response.
A photo captured at the scene indicates a big rig was among the vehicles involved, but no other details regarding potential injuries have been released.
An investigation by the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division remains underway.
