MONCKS CORNER, SC – A woman from Bonneau was killed in a crash involving two tractor-trailers in Berkeley County last Tuesday, August 1st.
According to a report by The State, Whitney Strong was traveling north on US-17 around 7:15 a.m. when her 2012 Dodge sedan collided with a 2021 Peterbilt tractor-trailer at Willow Haven Lane. The impact then sent the Dodge into a Volvo tractor-trailer near by.
Strong suffered fatal injuries in the crash. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volvo tractor trailer was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. The third driver involved was unhurt.
