2 injured in dump truck collision near Socastee

HORRY COUNTY, SC — A two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck left two people injured Monday afternoon near Socastee, according to WBTW News13.

The accident happened at the intersection of Socastee Boulevard and Brandymill Boulevard, west of Myrtle Beach. Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 1:21 p.m.

At this time, officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the event or provided further information on the conditions of those injured.

An investigation by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety remains underway with assistance from Horry County police and the Myrtle Beach Fire Department.
