CHARLOTTE, NC – A tractor-trailer crash and subsequent fuel spill caused major delays for rush-hour commuters in north Charlotte on Friday morning.
According to a report by QC News, the truck crashed in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Exit 39 to Statesville Road at about 8:11 a.m.
One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Spilled diesel fuel of an unspecified quantity leaked onto the roadway as a result, prompting a response from Hazmat crews.
Major traffic delays were reported in the area for sometime following the crash.
