ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MS – A driver was hurt last Saturday, July 13, in a major tractor-trailer crash that caused the vehicle to come to rest hanging off a highway bridge in Tremont, reports The Delta News.
The wreck occurred on the westbound lanes of Interstate 22 near Exit 113 to State Highway 23. By 6:00 a.m., a section of the highway was shut down as crews responded to the scene.
It was not immediately apparent what caused the driver to crash the big rig, but they suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening.

No charges or citations have been reported at this time.
