CARROLL COUNTY, GA — A collision involving a Freightliner log truck last Thursday, February 23, in southwest Carrollton claimed the life of a male driver, according to WBS-TV Atlanta 2.
The fatal wreck unfolded at the intersection of Georgia State Highway 166 and Farmers High Road at around 5:49 p.m.
Georgia State Patrol officials said a driver of a Freightliner log truck failed to yield at a stop sign on Farmers High Road, which resulted in a collision with a passenger vehicle traveling on GA-166.
The driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the scene, confirmed. He has since been identified as Gary Bullock, of West Georgia.
The GSP did not immediately disclose any details regarding possible charges against the Freightliner driver.
An investigation was underway.
