LITHIA SPRINGS, GA – After two trucks collided on I-20, one of them overturned and hit a tree line, injuring one of the drivers on Monday.
Atlanta News First said this collision happened around 7:15 a.m. near Thornton Road. Since the overturned tanker truck leaked diesel fuel, it took crews nearly all day to clean up the mess and remove the rolled-over truck from the site. All lanes reopened around 7:15 p.m.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety, who responded to the scene, has not commented on the events leading to this collision.
