Driver’s life claimed as car rear-ends semi in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – A 44-year-old man driving a BMW S351 had rear-ended a semi-truck, causing the car to get trapped under the truck and claiming the man’s life Tuesday.

The semi-truck driver was reducing their speed on I-40 West amid traffic when the car made contact with the back of the truck, WSVM said.

Metro Nashville Police Department declared the 44-year-old man, later identified as Jesse Weston, a Mount Joliet resident, dead at the scene.

Police started an investigation. While it is in its early stages, officers were able to confirm that impairment did not play a role in this deadly crash.
