FAYETTEVILLE, NC – A driver of an 18-wheeler lost control of their truck, causing a fiery collision on I-95 North that led them to their death Wednesday night.
Before 7:30 p.m., the driver started swerving across several northbound lanes when they hit a jersey barrier. When the truck made contact, that’s when the fuel tank burst into flames, and the driver perished at the scene, according to MyFox8.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol started an investigation but have not released other details, including the motorist’s name.
