PORTSMOUTH, VA – Virginia State Police responded to a truck wreck Thursday afternoon on Interstate 264 in west Portsmouth, according to WAVY.
The accident happened on the eastbound lanes at Exit 6, in an area just west of the Downtown Tunnel, at around 2:44 p.m.
Very few details have been made available at this time, but a photo taken at the scene indicates the truck crashed through the guardrail and into the tree line, leaving substantial property damage.
Local agencies have not confirmed any major injuries and/or hospitalizations related to the incident.
An investigation is being handled by the VSP.
