CHRISTIANSBURG, VA – Virginia State Police are investigating the circumstances behind a fiery two-tractor-trailer wreck that happened on I-81 North Sunday.
Due to the nature of this crash, officers and crews were left with no choice but to shut down the northbound lanes along mile marker 109 so firefighters had the chance to extinguish the flames due to safety concerns for drivers on the road, WDJB7 reveals.
State Police began their investigation, but did not confirm if anyone was injured, sent to the hospital, or made mention of pending citations or criminal charges.
New details will be posted as our newsroom uncovers more.
