Richmond ambulance- truck crash claims one life, injures another 

RICHMOND, VA – A collision between an ambulance vehicle and a trash truck on Route 360 claimed one life and injured another Thursday, WRIC said.

Virginia State Patrol said that just before 7 a.m., the trash truck operator had attempted to cross some lanes when they struck the ambulance.

Troopers declared the ambulance operator dead at the scene.

Additional EMS crews were called to the crash site. Upon arrival, first responders rushed the truck driver and a passenger, another medic inside the ambulance, to a hospital.

The surviving occupants’ physical conditions have not been disclosed.

VSP confirmed an investigation is underway.
