One hurt in multi-vehicle collision with big rig in Tysons 

TYSONS, VA – One person sustained a head injury in a multi-vehicle collision that involved two sedans, one truck, and a big rig that happened on I-495 North Tuesday.

Police and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were summoned to the scene before 9:30 a.m., according to FFXNow. Upon arrival, officials said that the person with the head injury was trapped, as well as five others who seemed to be trapped.

Fire crews did not specify if they conducted an extrication, but first responders said they had to shut down the north right center lane, the right lane, and the right shoulder. By 10:06 a.m., officials reopened all express lanes.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
