Officials investigate jackknife tractor-trailer crash in Elliston 

ELLISTON, VA – First responders are investigating the circumstances of a jackknifed tractor-trailer collision reported on Interstate 81 North last Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The Virginia Department of Transportation told WFXRTV this collision happened near mile marker 129.4, which is along the North Fork Roanoke River. Upon arrival, crews had to close the northbound left lane and the shoulder, as the truck was blocking that area.

At the time of reporting, delays were piling up. As it stands, there have been no mentions of injuries or the events that led to this crash.
