Franklin Co. deputies investigate Route 220 big rig crash with raw milk  

ROCKY MOUNT, VA – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is working to pinpoint the details behind a Route 220 big rig collision that resulted in raw milk being spilled from the truck Saturday. 

Deputies told WDBJ7 this crash took place on between Pleasant Hill Road and Craig Jamison Auction. 

Franklin County Public Safety crews and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management shut down the area to clean up the milk spill and have reopened all lanes since. 

While the exact cause of this crash remains undisclosed, authorities did confirm that occupants involved in this incident were unharmed.
