Driver unharmed when trash truck hits overpass beam in Fairfax Co. 

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – A driver of a trash truck was able to escape injuries after their truck struck an overpass support beam on the I-66 West ramp connecting to Route 286 South Monday. 

Virginia State Police told FOX 5 DC this crash around 3:30 p.m. A video captured by a Tesla driverwho was driving behind the truckindicated that the impact led the truck driver’s trailer to come undone before eventually stopping in the freeway’s left lane. 

No other travelers were injured.
