NELSON COUNTY, VA – A 22-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Aveo had cut off a trailer truck, leading to a collision that claimed her life and her passenger’s life last Saturday.

WSLS said the events unfolded around 8:47 p.m. when the 22-year-old woman, Samantha Lively, had suddenly entered the Route 29 and Irish Road connector and was struck by the truck driver, who was unable to stop their breaks and hit the Aveo.

As a result, Samantha and the passenger with her, 19-year-old Heather Lively, perished at the scene while the truck driver was unharmed.
