HILLSVILLE, VA – One person was injured after their driver, operating a large service truck, slammed into a fallen tree on Sylvatus Highway Thursday.
This solo collision occurred near Deer Ridge Road, according to WDBJ 7. The Hillsville Fire Department, who were among the first responders, revealed that no one was entrapped. However, fire crews did not confirm whether the wounded person was the driver or passenger.
Virginia State Police, the Virginia Department of Transportation, Carroll County Fire & Rescue, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
First responders have not shared other details at this time.
