GIBSON COUNTY, IN – A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a semi-truck on US 41 on Monday, WEHT reports.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident occurred just north of CR 150 W. The semi was headed southbound on US 41 when it struck the woman as she was attempting to cross the highway from the east.
The woman was transported to Deaconess Midtown in Evansville with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
