Semi slams into food truck in Nacogdoches, sending some to hospital

NACOGDOCHES, TX – A semi-truck rammed into a food truck, sending some of the restaurant employees and one customer to a hospital Friday.

KTRE confirmed that it was a Ruby’s Mexican Food, showcasing that it was completely damaged. The restaurant owner, Miranda Salazar, said the truck allegedly had no driver inside when it collided with her truck.

Officials did not specify how many restaurant employees were injured but confirmed that they and the one patron have since been released from the hospital and are recovering from minor injuries.

Salzar has closed business for the necessary truck repairs and has not provided a time estimate for reopenings.
