Semi-school bus wreck in Midland sends student to hospital

MIDLAND, TX – One student on board a Midland ISD school bus had to go to a hospital following a crash with a commercial semi-truck Wednesday.

The events unfolded before 4:30 p.m. when the driver of the school bus collided with the big rig at the intersection of County Road 1270 and County Road 160, YourBasin reports.

The student was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor wounds, while all other students appeared to be unscathed as they were released to their parents.

The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the details behind this crash and has not been able to confirm who was at fault nor mention any citations or charges.
