Round Rock PD investigates semi-truck crash with downed power lines

ROUND ROCK, TX – Round Rock police are investigating the details behind a semi-truck crash that resulted in downed power lines last Thursday, July 31.

The semi-truck crash took place after 2 p.m. at the intersection of CR 172 and Chisholm Valley Drive. Police had to shut down the majority of northbound CR 172 and all of Chisholm Valley Drive to motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic so crews could clean up the debris from the crash.

By 2:45 p.m., police and transportation workers reopened all of CR 172. Chisholm Valley Drive, starting at Christopher Avenue and ending at CR 172, continued to remain closed.

The contributing factors and injuries have not been reported as of this writing.
