PLANO, TX – A man died after being struck by a semi-truck that fled the scene on the Dallas North Tollway on Tuesday morning, WFAA reports.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the Tollway around 6:30 am. An 18-wheeler made an unsafe lane change, striking a Honda Civic, which then crashed in a concrete wall and rolled over. A truck and a car then crashed into the Civic. The truck driver then fled.
The driver of the Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the truck and car were unharmed.
The accident is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
