Officials close SH 146 North in La Porte due to jackknifed semi-wreck

LA PORTE, TX – A hazmat truck jackknifed on SH 146 North, prompting local Office of Emergency Management (OEM) crews to close some lanes for several hours Tuesday.

Officials told ABC13 News that the impact led the cab to lean on the median barrier partially. Due to the nature of the wreck, crews needed to close at least one southbound and one northbound lane along Fairmont Parkway for the scene clearance process.

Authorities did not say if slick road conditions were a direct contributing factor or if anyone was injured.
