Meat spills from truck, leading to major rear-end wreck in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – Several pounds of meat fell from a meat processing truck on Highway 183 East, leading to a major rear-end crash and several hour long shut down on Tuesday. 

According to CBS News, police arrived at the scene around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Transportation crews arrived a short time later to help clean up and remove the meat and chemically wash down the roads. The process took numerous hours, and officials were finally able to clear the scene by 4 a.m. Wednesday and reopen the area. 

Authorities have not verified what caused the goods to spill from the truck. However, they did confirm that no one was harmed as a result of the wreck.
