Driver dies in multi-vehicle accident with trucks, bus in NE Dallas 

NORTHEAST DALLAS, TX – One driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle accident which involved several trucks and a DART bus Monday.

Dallas Fire Rescue told CBS News that the collision happened after one semi-truck driver had lost consciousness and proceeded through the intersection of Plano and Miller Roads. The truck driver crashed into a second semi truck, a box truck, a DART bus, and a sedan.

Police and fire crews arrived at the crash site around 1 p.m. Upon arrival, they declared the first semi-truck driver dead at the scene. EMS crews took several others to a hospital for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.

The critically injured person appears to be in stable condition as of this writing.

An investigation is underway.
