Car and semi collide on TX-36 near Eula, killing Abilene woman

CALLAHAN CO., TX – A car and a semi collided on a Callahan County highway Wednesday, killing a woman and injuring a teen, reports yahoo! news.

Around 7:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at TX-36 and FM 603 in the southeastern outskirts of Abilene.

The initial investigation indicates that the driver of a passenger vehicle likely ran a stop sign before colliding with an 18-wheeler.

Medics transported an 11-year-old passenger from the car to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the car, who has since been identified as 36-year-old Kaley Demasters, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
