ALVORD, TX – A tractor-trailer crashed and overturned on U.S. 287, causing 8 million dimes to spill from the truck and injuring its driver and passenger Tuesday.
The collision, reported around 5:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes, happened after the driver lost control of their vehicle and overcorrected, NBCDFW reports. Crews had to shut down the area so crews and street sweepers could clean up all the fallen change, which was worth around $880,000. All lanes have been reopened since.
