Auto, AFD fire truck crash in Del Valle claims 1 life, injures 4 

DEL VALLE, TX – A crash between a vehicle and an Austin Fire Department fire truck along AUS Airport led to one person’s death and injured four others Tuesday. 

KXAN said the collision happened around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Texas 71 and Presidential Boulevard. The person who succumbed to their wounds was initially listed in critical condition prior to their passing. 

Three of the surviving occupants suffered minor injuries, while the other was left in serious condition. Two were sent to St. David’s South Medical Center. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Services, the Austin Fire Department, and Austin police all responded to the scene. 

The exact details leading to the wreck remain unconfirmed.
