SAN ANGELO, TX – Two people were hospitalized for serious injuries after a collision that caused an SUV to overturn and a semi-truck to jackknife Wednesday.
The SUV and truck collided after 9 a.m. on the 3000th block of North FM 2288, Concho Valley Homepage reports. Upon arrival, EMS crews took the SUV occupants to a hospital, and authorities shut down a major portion of the road, leaving one lane open to accommodate the flow of traffic.
San Angelo and Grape Creek Volunteer fire crews confirmed that the petroleum tank truck did not spill any oil. It’s unclear if either vehicle caught on fire, but photos from the source showed photos of burned trees and branches.
Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Green County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
