2 hurt after trash truck crashes into New Wark home

NEW WARK, TX – One driver was injured, and another critically after a trash truck crashed into a New Wark home Friday, NBCDFW reports.

Preliminary details suggest the collision happened after a car driver had rear-ended the trash truck after experiencing a tire blowout on FM 718 Road. The truck driver lost control of their truck, which caused them to drift off the road and then collide into a home bedroom.

Two people inside the home bedroom and the car driver sustained minor injuries, while the truck driver was left in critical condition.

EMS crews transported the truck driver to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
