MEMPHIS, TN – Two people were injured in a collision involving a semi truck on I-40 Tuesday afternoon, Action News 5 reports.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-40 near Danny Thomas Boulevard and North Watkins Street. Three lanes were shut down while law enforcement investigated.
The truck driver was hospitalized in critical condition. The other driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
