KNOXVILLE, TN – A man was killed and another person was rushed to the hospital following a truck accident on I-40 in West Knoxville on Monday, July 31st.
According to WATE, Dustin Slaven, 38 of Oneida, Tennessee was eastbound on I-40 at about 2 p.m. when his truck veered off the roadway near Western Avenue and collided with a tree.
Slaven was pronounced dead at the scene. His unidentified passenger was transported to UT Medical Center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
