THP investigates semi-truck accident at I-10, SR-58 in Kingston 

KINGSTON, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a semi-truck accident that happened at the I-40 and SR 58 connector Wednesday. 

According to WVLT, the truck driver crashed into a bridge barrier, causing the truck to land on the road. The collision happened before 2 p.m. and warranted a quick response from state troopers, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kingston Police Department. Authorities shut down SR-58 along the I-40 overpass at exit 356 and told drivers to avoid the area as they worked to clear the scene. 

Interstate 40 remained open to traffic. 

Troopers have not specified the exact cause of the collision, the extent of injuries, or announced any charges at this time.
