THP investigates semi crash on I-24 in Coffee County

COFFEE COUNTY, TN — Authorities were dispatched to a semi-trailer accident Monday morning on Interstate 24 near southeast Hillsboro, reports WKRN.

The wreck occurred on the eastbound interstate approaching mile marker 127 at about 8:30 a.m.

While the events leading up to the accident have not been specified, WKRN noted that the region saw multiple inches of snowfall that morning.

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to the area to conduct an investigation.

No significant injuries were immediately reported.

By about 10:30 a.m., two hours later, crews had cleared out of the roadway, leaving all lanes open to traffic.
