TROUSDALE CO., TN – Major traffic delays were reported after a tractor-trailer overturned in Trousdale County early last Wednesday morning.
According to the Hartsville Vidette, the truck overturned in the southbound lanes of Highway 10 at about 4:17 a.m.
Troopers say the driver, 57-year-old Ben Lumpkins, lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons, causing it to veer off the left side of the roadway and overturn.
Lumpkin was uninjured in the crash. However, the roadway was shut down for 10 hours while crews worked to right the truck and clear the scene.
The THP report indicated no charges, suggesting brake failure might have contributed to the accident.
