MEMPHIS, TN — One person lost their life last Tuesday, March 12, as a result of a crash between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 in Memphis, reports Local Memphis.
The fatal accident occurred on the westbound lanes of I-40 near Chelsea Avenue, in the New Chicago area. Memphis Police Department officers responded to the scene at about 5:30 p.m.
Officials did not immediately provide details about how the motorcycle collided with the big rig, but the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Motorists were asked to use extra caution as they approach the area.
