OLIVER SPRINGS, TN – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol were called to a tractor-trailer collision off Oliver Springs Highway Monday.
Based on what law enforcement knows so far, it appears that the tractor-trailer had crashed and driven off the bridge, according to WBIR. The impact of the crash caused the side of the truck’s load and bumper to be removed completely. In addition, the cab was completely damaged.
EMS crews gave medical attention to the driver at the scene, but did not specify what physical condition the driver was left in or say if they needed to go to the hospital.
Deputies redirected drivers to alternative routes.
THP is in charge of the investigation and has not released additional information at this time.
