CARYVILLE, TN – Fire crews were able to cast out a fire coming from a semi-truck and another vehicle, which resulted after a crash on I-75 North at mile marker 133 Tuesday.
Due to the nature of this incident, first responders were left with no choice but to shut down the northbound lanes, WBIR indicated in a report. Fire crews and first responders lifted those lane closures around 2 p.m.
Despite those lanes reopening, traffic was congested, with delays extending toward Rocky Top.
The events behind Tuesday’s wreck remain undisclosed. However, additional information shows that another vehicle, a pickup truck, may have been involved, as footage documented that the truck was totaled.
At this time, authorities have not said if anyone was injured or needed to go to the hospital.
