Driver seriously injured in crash involving 2 trucks on Ball Camp Pike

KNOXVILLE, TN – The driver of a UPS truck was rushed to the hospital following a collision involving a semi-truck northwest of Knoxville last month.

According to a report by WATE, the crash occurred on Thursday, July 6th on Ball Camp Pike near the intersection with Lobetti Road.

Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office say a 2018 Mack truck was eastbound on Ball Camp Pike when a left wheel went off the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross into the oncoming lanes and collide with the UPS truck.

The driver of the UPS truck was transported to UT Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. No updates on their condition are available at this time.
