NASHVILLE, TN — One person was critically injured Wednesday morning due to a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in southeast Nashville, according to WKRN.
Metro Nashville Police Department said the accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on a stretch of Harding Place (TN-255) at Tampa Drive.
A preliminary investigation found that a semi-truck was traveling eastbound toward Interstate 24 at the same time an SUV began turning left onto Harding Place from Tampa Drive, resulting in a crash.
The driver, who suffered critical injuries, was rushed to an area hospital.
Authorities had a span of Harding Place blocked as crews tended to the scene. Motorists were forced to divert onto Linbar Drive or Wallace Road to avoid delays.
