Crews clean up sewage leak after truck accident in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TN – First responders were called to the scene after a sewage truck crashed in Chattanooga’s North Shore on Monday.

According to WDEF, the truck crashed while heading to a sewage treatment facility while taking the ramp from US-27 North to Manufacturers  Road sometime before noon.

The unidentified driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries are unclear.

The collision resulted in a leak, with approximately 2,500 gallons of sewage being spilled from the truck. Firefighters and Special Ops teams responded to manage the cleanup.
