HAWKINS CO., TN – A motorcyclist was killed and two others were hospitalized following a crash in Hawkins County last Thursday afternoon.
According to WBIR, the motorcyclist was riding south on Old Highway 11W at about 1:08 p.m. when a 1999 Peterbilt dump truck pulled out and collided with the motorcycle.
The rider, Bret A. Garegnani, 39, was pronounced dead at the crash site. His passenger, as well as the driver of the dump truck, were each hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time.
